GUIDELINES FOR IP (IPv4 or IPv6) NUMBERS AND ASN (AUTONOMOUS SYSTEM NUMBERS) REQUEST APPLICATION PROCESS.
Step 1
The user should pick a form from LACNIC's website such as:

IPv6 - Internet Providers

IPv6 - End Users

ASN - AUTONOMOUS SYSTEM NUMBERS

Step 2
The user must complete the application form.
Step 3
The user must send the form after completion to hostmaster@lacnic.net
The requester will receive an automatic response including a serial number identifying the application process. This number will be useful to follow up the request process, make any inquiry or even for the billing process.
Step 4
LACNIC´s Registration Service staff analyze the request and make contact with the applicant for additional information, when necessary.
The analysis is made according to the established Policies.
Step 5
LACNIC´s staff decide whether or not to assign the requested resource (IPv4, IPv6 or ASN) as well as what specific resource to assign.
Step 6

The applicant is informed via e-mail whether or not the request is approved.

In case of approval, the applicant will also receive the following information:

  • Detailed payment instructions for the assigned resources.
  • Detailed instructions about how to obtain a copy of the Registration Service Agreement from LACNIC´s web site. Two copies of agreement must be signed and sent to:
