LACNIC V will take place in Havana, Cuba from November 18 to 20, 2003 at the Hotel Nacional de Cuba. The meeting is open to people and organizations related to the Internet and the telecommunications sphere of activity and provide an excellent opportunity to participate in Internet policy discussions to apply in the LACNIC region. In addition, there will be tutorials that will be of interest of network operators and administrators.

SOCIAL EVENT

Wednesday night's social event will be at the TROPICANA CABARET. Come to enjoy the most spectacular show in all of Havana with 90 singers and dancers offering a multitude of shows, costumes and entertainment variety.

After having a Creole Cuban meal at "Los Jardines" Restaurant, located inside the Cabaret lands, we will enjoy the show from a preferential spot in the open-air stall while tasting typical Cuban drinks.

The famous nightclub hosts first-rate artists from around the world on its open-air stage and in the spectacular hall of glass arches. Inaugurated in 1939 as the Beau Sité, the club was renamed in 1940 when its artistic director fell under the spell of the song "Tropicana."

If you would like to bring your camera, you should pay USD 5 at the Cabaret entrance to be allowed to take pictures. It is not permitted to tape the show. Video tapes of the show are available at the Cabaret's gift shop.
