ECOMLAC, LACTLD and LACNIC summon the meeting of the first Latin American IPv6 Forum (FLIP-6) that will be held on March, 30, 2004, in the city of
Montevideo, Uruguay.
This forum is part of the joint events summoned by these organizations within the framework of the ECOMLAC/2004, LACTLD y LACNIC VI meetings.
The aim of this Forum is to encourage and promote the adoption of the IPv6 protocol within the region covered by LACNIC through the exchange of experiences relating to this subject.
The Forum targets a wide group of participants, including professionals working within the academic and commercial areas, university networks, ISPs, NAP operators, ccTLDs, etc.
The final program for the first FLIP-6 forum will include an open discussion panel on the implementation of the IPv6 task force in Latin America and the Caribbean, presentations on the current state of the deployment of this protocol, and the exchange of experiences in its implementation.
