The aim of this proposal is to establish how IANA will distribute the IPv6 space to the Regional Internet Registries. This is an effort to establish a global policy, one which will the same for any Regional Internet Registry.

This is a proposal that refers to the recovery of Internet resources that are identified as unutilized. Currently there is no policy that considers that LACNIC has the authority to recover resources that have already been allocated. Christian O'Flaherty, Additional Allocation to Regional ISP Policy

At this moment the main requirement that Internet Services Provides must comply in order to receive an additional allocation of IPv4 addresses is the use of 80% of their IPv4 addresses space. A reduction in this percentage is proposed for those ISP which have operation in different countries in LACNIC region.

ASO AC Election

Two representatives of each region in the ASO Council must be elected through the Internet Community. This is the final step of the election after the calls made through LACNIC lists. The participants of the Open Policy Forum belonging to LACNIC region are qualified to participate in this election.
