LACNIC VIII Financial Assistance Program
LACNIC announces the end of the selection process of financial grants to members of the regional Internet community interested in attending the LACNIC VIII event to be held in Lima, Peru, from June 27 to June 30, 2005.

From a total of 94 applications, 23 people from 11 different countries of the region were selected to be benefited with the financial assistance program.

Assistance includes: free registration to the event, financial assistance for accommodation and/or airfare expenses for a total amount of USD 9,000.

Among the selected applicants are included: ISPs, ISPs associations, universities, academic networks and governmental organizations.
