LACNIC Registration Service Tutorial - Ricardo Patara, LACNIC
Objectives: To inform how to access IPv4, IPv6 and Autonomous System Number resources in Latin America, to explain the processes and procedures used by LACNIC for administrating the applications for these resources, as well as the use of LACNIC's interface to manage resources on the part of the user. Mainly aimed at organizations belonging to the region covered by LACNIC that need resources for the stable operation of their access or Internet service activities.
Network Security Tutorial - Instructors: Juan Carlos Guel López, Alejandro Núñez Sandoval, UNAM.
Objetivos: Conocer el uso de técnicas actuales de la seguridad informática en el uso de redes a gran escala(Internet,Intranet,etc), para prevenir intrusiones y reconocer los métodos empleados por los intrusos. Implementar propuestas de seguridad informática para trabajo en red, aplicables a América Latina. Dirigido a: Organizaciones de redes y telecomunicaciones, operadores y administradores de redes, que estén interesados en la implementación de la seguridad en sus redes de comunicación.
IPv6 Deployment Tutorial - Instructors: Wilfred Woeber, University of Vienna, Jordi Palet (C.V.), Consulintel
This tutorial will focus on knowing and understanding the principal elements for the deployment and usage of IPv6 addressing.
FLIP-6, Second Latin American IPv6 Forum.
Technical forum the purpose of which is to advance and share technical knowledge in order to facilitate increased IPv6 adoption within the region.
