LACNIC VI was held in the city of Montevideo, Uruguay from March 29 to April 1, 2004, at the Radisson Montevideo - Victoria Plaza Hotel.
The meeting was held within the framework of a joint event summoned also by two other organizations of the region: ECOM-LAC and LACTLD. Each one scheduled their own activities, as well as common activities with the other organizations.
LACNIC VI was open to people and organizations related to the Internet and the telecommunications sphere of activity and provided an excellent opportunity to participate in Internet policy discussions to apply in the LACNIC region. Also, the LACNIC Annual Member Assembly was taken place and tutorials of interest of network operators and administrators was offered.
