This is an open call for nominations from the LACNIC region to fill one (1) seat on the NRO Number Council to cover the vacancy generated by the position of Sebastián Bellagamba who ends his term as representative of LACNIC region on December 31st 2009. The elected representative must be willing to serve a term of three years starting on January 1st 2010.

The seat will be filled by an individual nominated through this open call. The selection process will involve an open election to be held on May 27, 2009 during the LACNIC XII meeting in the city of Panama, Panama.

• Deadline for nominations: April 27th, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. UTC.
• Election scheduled: May 27th, 2009 during LACNIC Open Policy Forum.
