The Internet Addresses Registry for Latin America and the Caribbean (LACNIC), the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and the Internet Society (ISOC) presented today in Buenos Aires the FRIDA / IGF 2011 Award.

The winners received the award in the framework of LACNIC XVI - LACNOG 2011 event which is taking place in Buenos Aires, Argentina this week. The winners are:

• Access: Plan Ceibal (Uruguay)
• Freedoms: Movimiento Mega Não ao vigilantismo na Internet (Brazil)
• Development: Red Educativa Mundial (Regional)
• Innovation: Mercedes y Marcos Paz Digital (Argentina)

The winner of the best 2.0 campaign (Most voted project) is:

• Via Nostrum: Red de Desarrollo de Conocimiento (Regional)
